P0410

I diagnosed my cars yesterday. One got green light. The other one gave error code P0410: Secondary air injection malfunction.

This system pumps air into the exhaust to lower emissions. I suspect I need to replace the O2 sensor. Everything else works fine.

Celestial celica

I have been dreaming about this car ever since I was a teenager. Well, twenty years ago the model was really different, the headlights were round but the sports look and feel were more or less the same.

To tell you the truth, I used to dream about the 1990's model, it is the one that stole my heart. They are not very difficult to find on the net but to be sincere, that model is a relatively old car, not yet a classic, I hope you see the difference and get what I mean.

I already own a toyota and I'm very happy with it. It is the most reliable car I've ever had so far but it is simply not a celica ;)

When toyota stopped producing celicas in 2005 I thought that I would never be able to get one. But guess what, I went to a car fair last weekend (I usually go to all of them) and found it. This happens to be the 2005 model and thus the very last one in production.

Well, I couldn't resist and bought it, so now I have a small collection of toyotas at home, which is cool. I hope to get a discount in my next acquisition for being a faithful customer ;)

Here you are a couple of pictures I took at the fair. I'll upload more photos soon, I want to find a lovely background to show off how knockout my celica looks. Absolutely stunning, isn't it?

Car fiasco????

It seems my Toyota Auris was defective. The gas pedal was sticky. I took it to the garage on Monday 29th March to have it fixed. To tell you the truth I haven't been able to try the fix out because yesterday Thursday 1st April the battery drained and although I charged it all night it is no use, it goes out in several hours. Too bad, I hope the guarantee covers that.

UPDATE (11th April, 2010): Fortunately I got a new battery replaced at the garage for free. The gas pedal seems to work just fine. I haven't been able to notice any other defect after the fix. Let's keep fingers crossed!!!

By the way yesterday I got the letter informing me of the possibility of a defect in the gas pedal. It's not that it arrives too late. It's just that I first received an e-mail from Toyota and took the car to the garage. And this letter comes from the Traffic Department of my country. Everything's ok. Of course I do not have to go to the service again (lol)

Now I can say again that 'I love my Toyota'.

Finally decided Toyota!!!!!!! I think I've made the right choice. The car is awesome. It's fast, reliable and above it all it's a Toyota. Love it!!!!!!!!!

No News is Good News!!!

I haven't written for some weeks now but I've got the perfect excuse this time. I'm looking for a new car. I mean that I have finally decided to bid farewell to my old bucket and get a primered flames sports car.

I have been considering several options but I've cut it down to these two: i30 or Auris. I like both. I'm leaving you several pictures in the hopes that  you help me decide.
